This is--so far--the best nightclub I've been to so far! My wife, her friend, and I got there around 9:30. We got in without a wait, of course. There was a $20 cover charge each. Upon entering, you are aesthetically in awe at the scenery: dimly lit, blue floor lights shine off the various walls, floors, and surfaces. There's a vertical "pond" at the entrance, with a nice fireplace lit towards the end of the walkway. To the right, there's a bar, with friendly, cordial bartenders tending to your requests, quickly. To the left, sectionally separated seating areas for reserved groups (aka "bottle service"), with drapes optionally used to provide privacy. As you continue walking down the path, on the left, you enter a room with another bar and fireplace, all still very aesthetically pleasing. In this room, also, was a table where a woman was providing freshly prepared chocolate-covered strawberries. Walking yet further down into the next level takes you to the dance floor, where there's another story above, where you can see from up there looking down onto the dance floor, separable by gated rails. Again, the aesthetics are awesome. The place got pretty packed as time passed on, and we got pretty waisted! Dancers would come out to dance on this elevated stage. My only grudge is that we never got a chance to eat their supposedly "free" tacos (consisting of pork, chicken, and beef). It seems that they were reserving those for bottle-service/booking parties. Regardless, the place was pretty off-the-hook, and I'd definitely go back there again!

First of all, there's a $10 cover.  The woman who worked in coat check there was incredibly rude (she grabbed my friend's coat when she wasn't even trying to check it and then charged her $3 to get it back).  The crowd was an awkward mixture of people who weren't sexy but trying way too hard to be sexy and people who were just too old to be at a club.  There were two rooms, one for Top 40 and the other for Salsa/Merengue..but there was no real separation.  You can try to dance salsa while still fully hearing the top 40 being played in the room next door.  I wasn't a fan.  I went there with my girlfriends for the first time and I don't think I'll be going back.

I don't think this place is too bad.  Sure, it is bland and impersonal.  Just like the city.  However, I did spend a memorable lunch hour watching France beat Portugal in the World Cup and that will always be a good memory. I love the big screen tv's and the layout allowed for a comfortable view of the game.  For two hours I nursed Diet Cokes and the waitress didn't seem to mind.  Service was efficient and polite.  Although I didn't eat there, the food looked good and substantial. Jillian's is a bit on the pricey side.  I'd still go back to watch another World Cup if I have to work in the city during the games.
