lol THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! the first of a million things i absolutely HATE about it is the people..... they are the biggest group of degenerate losers all on some sort of bizarre power trip, they charge you to get in based on their own discretion and they don't give a shit about anyone, i have never been more disrespected being at a club... if you do get in the music is horrible and the service is even worse, we went for a friends birthday and they had the absolute worst night because of the rude negligent staff they had. will never make the mistake of going there ever again... PLEASE FOR YOUR SAKE PASS THIS ONE UP

This place has gone wayyyyyy down hill. It used to be the saving grace of even thinking about going into the meatpacking district. I've been partying it down at this spot for years and I've gotta tell you I am completely dissapointed by the way I was treated there tonight (april 19th), marking their 7th year anniversary party. I've been looking forward to seeing theo parish spin all week but when I got to the door they pulled a complete bait and switch. The on-line flyer said $12 and this bitchy lady at the door, Allison I think and the meathead bouncer said it was $20, since it was their anniversary party. Than the chick said she'd comp me a drink so I agreed. After that I had to empty my pockets and got a pat down that would have made the TSA look like amateurs. After checking my coat I saw the place was dead so I decided to double back and check with the door person on my comped drink. Just went back Allisson flip-flopped and pretended that she wouldn't buying me a drink and that i misunderstood her. Just then I grabbed my coat and bounced the hell out of there. Whoever is managing that place now, it's shady. unfortunately not the fun place it used to be.

One Star...(At least they were Rated A by the City-which, for as much money as they spent on the old Rusty Pelican, you'd think that there would be evidence of it, other than the light show as evening fell!) I am being a nice guy here...This was such a disappointing dining experience...It is hard to find a great meal in the price range of the Minx in Glendale ($$$$). So, we thought that we would wait a bit until they got out the kinks of a new place all worked out...SURPRISE! OK OK...the ugly, the bad and the good. The main course (Salmon and Steak) was absolutey terrible. I sent back the first attempt (which took close to 50 minutes to get) because the steak was well done! Ordering medium rare here is not an option...The second plating of my steak was actually over cooked again! Asst. manager added a Nice touch of offering a freebee desert, but that just doesn't work when you have waited SO SO long for the main course and then have to send it back to the kitchen. Our waitress tried to tell us that the kitchen crew was really working to finish our meal but, that was like 20 minutes earlier! OK, the Salmon was acceptable, but very pricey for the size and nothing special from the chef here to. The bad, Minx's location is ok (mandatory Valet because In and Out is in the same lot), but the room was really warm, no HOT...All of the portions are small for the price and other than the appetizer sushi ($10) the evening was totally horrible, that was soft, soggy and salty. Oh yeah, the manager was called the following day...he's working on it...HO HUM..I hope that it was just not my night because I have NEVER written a negative review in my life before the Minx... Follow Up: We received a letter of thanks and apology from the Manager along with a gift card...I'll wait a bit before maybe trying Minx again.
