So, I thought the layout was neat! 3 levels, oh my! And its really pretty inside. However, I only went to the second level. The crowd looked too thick to pass through. I loved the nice bartenders on the first level. They are so amazing I would give them five stars alone! Can you say strrrrrrronnnnnnnnnnngg drinks? Yes Please! However, the crowd that roe brings is a real bummer. People are mean here! And they like to bump into you too. Its such a bad crowd I have to down grade it to 2 star. The opening dj of the night also was not that great :(

I was there for Gay Jeopardy last night, it was pretty fantastic. The drinks were big and strong, the staff charming, the decor amazing with interesting touches (find the giant gummy bears), the music well mixed, and the patio big and relaxing. The clientelle was assorted, not just some cliquey group of old queens or abercrombe&bitches or whatever. I was with a varied group of friends and all of them felt comfortable/welcomed. the one star deduction is for lack of a dancefloor to go with the music, because shimmying between pool tables isnt cute. AND because in the mens room, the urinal is a trough with a large angled mirror tilted just right so that your business is viewable by the masses. hmph. otherwise marvelous and i will definitely be back.

One of my neighborhood's favorite hang-outs is Waziema. The Ethiopian food is superb, the bar-tender is sweet, and the drink selection is great. And they have a fun local musicians night once a month.
