I went on a Thursday with a really fun bunch of people. Music by DJ Vice on Thursdays is awesome - he keeps the crowd on high energy and by midnight, everyone is jumping about on the dancefloor or at the tables. I did expect it to be bigger because of all the hype, but I like how the dance floor is on a lower level than all the tables. This makes for a great way to watch all the dancing below and the contortionist girl above the bar is mesmerizing. I agree with another review, Myhouse looks way nicer inside in terms of decor, but Playhouse has a crowd which is more excited to dance than stand around looking pretty. If you're looking for a spot that plays more house and trance, this is the place. I'll be honest, I can understand some of the bad reviews because the door people can be asses. We didn't encounter too much hollywood BS because we got there SUUUPPEERRR early (there was a restaurant opening a block away so after getting buzzed through a 3 hr open bar we stumbled over at 9:45pm). Because a friend knew someone, we cut the line and the girls got in free. On top of that, the friends I was with made my night more than anything else.

Last night I attended our office holiday party here for some bowling, playing pool and having some drinks and appetizers as part our package deal. $100 per person.....kinda steep but it included everything - food, open bar, waitress service at our 4 lane rental and shoes for 2 and half hours. There was no enforced dress policy, but again we were there as a group party. I would say to dress upscale casual to be on the safe side. I will say it was a bit more modern, upscale and trendy than any other bowling alley I have ever been to. It felt more like a lounge or club with DJ music playing and nice couches and bars to get comfortable in with a group. However, they do offer bowling and pool almost as a secondary it felt. And it was very nice, clean and fun. The bar/lounge was sorta separate from the lanes and the lanes had their own loungey couches for the players to relax and wait in. The staff seemed friendly and the waitresses were attractive and attentive. They were always around taking orders and serving drinks and food. They also offer a "Luxe" package that has a private room with its own bar, 4 bowling lanes, and pool tables. Supposedly it would accommodate up to 300 people. So last night was overall great and there were no waiting in lines or any issues whatsoever, but it was at 8pm -11pm on a Tues night on a cold December. I recommend to give it a try yourself and enjoy!

Not a bad spot at all. Drinks were about average (poor and price) but there were some suprisingly hot ladies. The dance floor, although on the small side, had a good mix of people, which stasyed strong until closing. A good spot if you are in a smaller group looking for some fresh faces and strange ass.
