by Barry W. on If you're into pretentious crowds, fancy mixed drinks and top 40's hits, stay the f&*K away from Bob's. This place is reserved for the real hip hop heads and rap purists alike. This place is teeny tiny and the cc is $5. But don't gripe about it, because the DJ is worth it. He spins the illest classics not the Boshit they be playing these days that are only worthy of being on a verizon Wireless commercial. The drinks are not too expensive, but not cheap also. But this is a place to listen to great music and get down (and I don't even dance). I wouldn't recommend going on Fri and Sat's because you won't be able to move. However Thursday's is the perfect night to go.
by Lina Bohley on I tried to get a reservation on open table here, just forget that. They only have 7 and 9:45 open, always. Luckily I just went and got a seat in the bar really quickly. I had the trout wrapped in grape leaves, and my friend had the skirt flank steak. Get the trout, it was FABULOUS. Seriously, it was great. My trout was $24, and the steak was $23. But when you gotta little extra money, hit this place up. There are some less expensive things such as pizzas and pastas all made in house that I intend to go back and try. The staff is a little pretentious, but thats a common theme in midtown restaurants. Gotta love it!
