by Jason F. on I don't understand all the negative feedback about Duvet. Yes, it's loud, expensive, overly-trendy, snooty, with long lines and obnoxious bouncers, but we're talking about a Manhattan club here...that's how it is. It's like saying The Blueprint is an awful album, and you don't like hip-hop. Well...yea you're not going to like it. Personally, I mostly hate the NYC club scene for all the above reasons, but on a relative scale, Duvet is not half-bad. For that, I give it 4 stars. It has a large dance floor if you love to dance, it has the whole bed theme going if you like to chillax and enjoy a conversation, the drinks were decent, and the place was safe and clean. Can't ask for much more from a club unless you happen to like getting your butt wiped by those overly-eager tip hungry bathroom service people at most posh places.
by Tyree Kearl on This club has three separate rooms. Each room has a different feel and plays different music. One is a hip hop room, the other a techno, and the last is..uh...okay, I'm not quite sure. What I do know if that, if you get to the club early enough, it's free cover. Like any other club, there are a ton of guys standing around on the side of the dance floor, not dancing...just watching. ack. Me no likey. Also, there are quite a few bouncers. They like to give you directions. Go this way, stand on this side, keep it moving, blah blah blah
