this place sucks!! there's no line at the door so you have to push your way through a crowd.. and the bouncers are all a bunch of jerks.. they usually let groups of girls go first.. so if you go there with guys.. good luck.. and if you're all guys.. better try somewhere else... inside looks pretty cool.. but the music wasn't all that great.. stayed here for about half and hour and then left to go somewhere that was totally better

Let me start by saying that I lived in England during the early/mid 90's, so I'm biased.  This is the music of my high school/college years. I've been to Leisure several times.  Both at Annie's Social Club and The Paradise Lounge.  Like I said, this is my music and I love dancing to it in a club again.  Its not The Venue in Oxford or The Camden Arms in London, but then again, they probably wouldn't stand up to the memories.  The music is great.  The cover is not extravagent.  The drink prices aren't out of control.  My only complaint is that there are A LOT of people that don't know and love the music.  Last time I went, there were a bunch of office worker types who were jack-a@#@$.  They kept trying to push our group and one bint threw her purse into my sister's back on purpose.  If you can ignore the idiots, this is a great place to dance.

First of all, I should just say that anything served in a hollowed out pineapple is fantastic.  Mostly because it is totally absurd.  So get  over yourself, order the pineapple.  Don't worry, you're still cool, Jen and Vince (when they were Jen and Vince) love the pineapples - seriously, they were spotted enjoying!  So see, even the Hollyweird folk suck it up.  Literally. Okay, onward.  The food, well, I've never eaten it.  But I heart the back patio - so very not an LA scene.  Perhaps that's why I like the pineapple, it's the "bump that" LA. ******************* Update!  I have now tasted the food and I'm here to weigh in.  Let me preface this all by saying that post show (at the Music Box) there are very few places that still have an open kitchen.  The food was...okay.  Not stellar, not bad.  Crimson chips were a good call, the three different salsa-esque items that came with the crimson chips were an even better call.  The fact that they were free was perfection.  Presentation was pathetic, but it's cheap Mexican.  Quite frankly, at 12:45 I'm not too picky.
