The bouncer didn't let my friend in because she was wearing flip flops. First of all, they were cute, platform sandals. Second, we're in freaking Alhambra not Hollywood!!!! The cover was also $15. hahahahahhaha What a joke.

one day my girlfriend will get over the fact that it's no longer 1984. until then, i'll pretend that i enjoy 1984 at the infamous cat club. this place is usually packed to the point of claustrophobia with people from two generations. one generation can still recall the mtv days of martha quinn and nina blackwood. yup, that's me and my girl. the other generation believes that internet was around forever and thinks that a-ha and adam ant were music pioneers. um, what's next? the 90's with vanilla ice and rico suave? whatever. i suppose the 80's are here to stay for a while. hey, at least, it's not disco. that was the absolute worst. shivers... anyway, if you or your girlfriend are looking to get lost in the 80's all over again or for the very first time, 1984 at the cat club should suffice.
