Money Pit for Sale
The Amberlite bar in Wilmore is for sale. Potential buyers beware !
Wilmore Boro now has a strict building code in place that the present
owner (s) is exempt from. A new owner will be responsible for bringing the entire structure up to code; electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, stairways etc. The cost would be staggering, no pun intended.
If you are even considering the purchase of this money pit, have a serious discussion about these requirements with Mr. Mark Blaisdell, the boro manager in Wilmore.

I am familiar with this watering hole.
The Amber Lite Bar in Wilmore is just your typical, dime-a-dozen hole in the wall bar in a small town. Apparently we are all supposed to be terribly excited by the fact they serve really cold beer!
If your idea of a good time is watching grown men relieving themselves on the Main Street sidewalk in front of the bar or around back, then this is your kind of place.
If you are looking for something with a little more class in Wilmore, try the Tunnel Taproom down the street or better yet the Ebensburg or Richland area.
No Thanks ! Thumbs Down !

Reading through the reviews it seems like each night offers something different, but still, how this place gets 3.5 stars I'll never know. Is it the artwork on the walls that make the pretentious among us feel like we're somewhere sophisticated, instead of what this place really is--a haven for all the chodes of the Bay Area? If you want to see a huge collection of guys sporting their backwards caps, $200 basketball shoes, big gold chains going hyphy to the music that's blasted at a thousand two hundred and thirty twelve decibles, then there's hardly a better place to go than here. In my younger days I've had been turned away from places because of their dress code, but now I see the purpose of it. This place is like City Nights and the Boondocks (18+ clubs) with a few paintings on the wall. I'll give most places a couple of tries at least before I completely write it out on my book, but I hope to not make this mistake again.. And since I can't give this place 0 stars, I guess I'll honor the lone star to the relatively cheap drinks compared to some of the other places out there. I ordered three drinks and was ready to pull out two twenties, but just one was required including tip..

Fun club/bar scene...I especially like the decks upstairs for chillin and looking out at the city. It is a bit pricey if there is a cover and drinks ain't cheap, but it's a good time!
