Welcome to Atlanta, darling. My very first bar in Georgia and I discover plus's: Elvis shrine, $2.50 PBR's, amazing music with no cover - thanks Kid's Stuff and Judi Chicago for bringing it!- glow sticks and balloon drops! ) and minus's: people can still smoke in bars down here (uh oh throat, hair and clothes!!) but no matter- I met wonderful people, discovered dancing is OK down south and will certainly return!

Great atmosphere; cool bar and it was nice & warm with an old building kinda charm.  Located on Crescent Ave, not my favorite place to visit due to lots of traffic there because of all the bars and clubs, and annoying pay parking lots. We had a party of eight and were seated on the top floor.  It felt a bit crowded but luckily I was on the balcony side so it was cool looking down on the bar on the lower level. I started with some pino noir and the Low & Slow Smoked Pork BBQ.  The Pork was a pretty tender and the BBQ flavor was nice and tangy.  Most of the menu items were southern Louisiana style, so I knew it all had to be tasty spicy tangy!  I had a bite of the Fried Green Tomatoes and the added goat cheese and sweet red pepper coulis was super delightful!  After that I had a big thirst for a Blonde Ale, but when I asked the waiter if they had any, all he could offer me was a Sweetwater 420; which is an extra pale ale and has no hint of golden blondness, but anyhow, I opted for a Hoegarden, can't go wrong with that crisp wheat beer! I'm not a big fan of Fried Chicken, but I was told that the Buttermilk Fried Chicken was to die for here.  So, yup, I'm glad I did that spin class before dinner, because it was nice and fried, but very scrumptious!  Paired with sautéed green beans, buttermilk whipped potatoes and bourbon gravy; the fried goodness was definitely something to die for.  :)  The buttermilk potatoes were especially rich and very good with the green beans.  This is a plate where I just wanted to mix everything together to have all the flavors at once!

I really had fun when I came here. My sister and her husband brought me here for my 18th b-day.

I'd been here a couple other times for drinks in the past, but forgot about this part:  as you drive down Dutch Valley to get here, just look for the glowing violet exterior and walk through the curtain to get to the belly of the restaurant. The main dining room was still filled to capacity (just like Lauren S mentioned, I wasn't sure if One. was not going to become the forgotten first child after Two and Twois appeared).  It has modern, dark decor, feels a bit glittery, and it seems like they must've hired some sort of lighting guru/specialist, because its very flattering (for the people and the interior of the restaurant, too.)  There's a big row of booths that seat at least eight or so people, so that's a good option if you have a large group. We were seated in the back dining room, which had a completely different vibe. It was a lot brighter and quieter - lots of smaller tables filled with people on dates. All the food is contemporary American, and if you need to take someone to dinner that likes more classic fare,  this will fit the bill. I didn't get the signature frites, but chose the very classic sounding surf and turf - but the steak had a barbecue-like sauce with a surprising flavor. Entrees run from around $15 - 30. They also have the bottomless glass of wine that other rateclubsers mentioned, and there's also a three course Sunday meal for $25.
