Being a huge fan of Two Urban Licks, I had high expectations of Parish. First, the pros: valet guys were great. They asked for my name and gave me their name and directed me on how to get into the restaurant (it's a little cumbersome). The look and feel of New Orleans is pretty close to dead on for new construction. There is lots of exposed brick made to look aged etc. The nude sculptures in the middle of the dining room were a little weird, but whatever. The female bartender, blond hair, probably in her 30's was very friendly. She was right on us when we walked in, had a great personality, etc. So far so good..... Now the cons: We ordered a drink called Pimm's cup. Apparently there was a long drawn out story about the liquor in the drink that we missed, but the story had to be better than the drink. The flavor was good, but I guess I expected it to be a bit more potent since there was a story to go along with it. Had one that went down pretty quickly and felt like I had just had an iced tea. Maybe I am being a bit harsh, but NO is a drinking city....the hand grendade is not joke. I expect the drinks to at least give me a little buzz. So after that disappointment, I ordered a draught beer....that took about 15 mins to get to the table. Good thing they give you water as well. They didn't appear to be that busy, but we went through the bread and ordered another that never made it to the table. The food left me wanting more as well. I ordered the andouille crusted catfish and the fish was cold and about the size of a small chicken breast. It comes with a light sprinkling of grilled veggies underneath with some sort of greenery on top. Needless to say the whole thing looked quite lost on the seemingly giant plate and I was still quite hungry when finished. The person with me ordered the shrimp burger, which overall sounds weird, but the flavor of the burger was actually very good. The con on this dish was the soggy bun which made the burger overall a bit gross. All in all, I may go back in to hang out at the bar with the great bartender but for food I will stick with their sister company, Two Urban Licks.

Let's talk about whoring for a minute, kids. It is really hard to be single in San Francisco and not get your harlot on every now and again. This place did NOT inspire me to hush my inner whore. No, in fact, it made me want to unleash that hussy all over the place. And boy did I ever. Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday! Top that, Divine Brown! I hold Harlot responsible for all questionable behavior in the past three days. Never mind that they named this bar after me, the place is hot. It's happening. And the bartenders (boys) were so incredibly delicious. The lady bartenders wear adorable burlesquey outfits and were kind enough to tell me where I could purchase one of my very own! Hot asses abound! Drinks were strong and reasonable, the upstairs area is very, very white. And very, very sexy. Or maybe it's just me. There's also a smoking cage and well, we all know how much I like a cage. All the staff here are great- no attitude at this venue. If you're me, anyway. Plenty of space and seating means you can do your pimping, hoing, and drinking comfortably and spacious, clean bathrooms mean you don't have to leave to get your nasty on. Not that I would know. I'm not that kind of girl.
