Plush White Leather Chairs & Black Leather Loveseats to Lounge in with low glass coffeetables. When you first enter there are three computers with bar stools. A beautiful Cream colored Fireplace with marbles inside takes up an entire wall. Elevated Screens showing the movie 300. The Bar is next to it. Closely packed tables in this section. A Private Room in the back with Curtains. Service: With an Attitude Imbibe: Ski Lift & Snuggle Devour: Dessert Sampler - that is why this place got 4 instead of 5 stars - they stopped serving dessert!
by Wally Mehdi on Mezzanine is like comfort food. It's there whenever you want it. There's probably something decent going on there, and while it's not in the kind of place you want to run down the street with hundred dollar bills taped to you, it's not as sketchy as other selections around town. Yet and still, it doesn't take being whacked out of your mind on God Knows What to have a fairly forgettable time. I've seen the place as an OM monthly, a video game press event (playing Metal Gear Solid where I got drunk and hollered at a girl months before was a surreal feeling), a Love Parade pre-party, a few hip-hop shows, and a tepid pool of minimal house courtesy of Peter Kruder. None of them registered or resonated with any particular strength. I've seen better warehouse venues in my lifetime with more space and better acoustics. Also, I've seen better shows at those venues. Still, like your local burrito joint, Mezzanine's around, for better or for worse. Even if you got the screaming shits the last time you ate there.
