This place is straight it could be better but I always find myself with at least 3 numbers everytime I go I cant complain. The girls are cool good dancing and a lot of room which is nice when your a tall guy. Well ventilated as well. Friendly staff I never have problems with security. I lost my ID one time and the owner met me a couple days after called me back and gave back my ID I respect that real talk.

I dropped by Sloane the last time I was in the Bay Area with my younger brother. I'd have to agree with the other reviewers that don't get the 'cover' situation at Sloane. Yes, it's a nice venue, yes, they play pretty good music, but if there's a cover you probably could do better in the city for a similar venue/experience.. That said, I'd love to throw a private event here.. would be an awesome venue for something like that... hmm

Tips for the unknowing: 1. This isn't a hip hop club so don't cry if they don't play that new whatever-is-popular-nowadays song. If you want to hear hip hop, sit your ass in the line for Slide next door! 2. If you're going to a sold out event for a world renown DJ (ie. TIesto!), as always, early arrival is strongly suggested! 3. Watch your face for horrible dancers! Finally had a reason to go to Ruby Skye: Tiesto :) We arrived there pretty early since some of us had will call tickets (or so we thought) so we wanted to avoid the line. When we got there, there was 2 lines already forming but the bouncer ushered us into the right line and we got in QUICK!! The venue is really big - like a gynormous-auditorium-looking-thing big. Perfect for an intimate concert by your favorite DJ :)! The bottom level was the dance floor, equipped with 2 bars along the side. Upstairs was the balcony that overlooked the dance floor with VIP sections on the side of it - totally not worth it since you get a side view of whoever's spinning. There was also a bar upstairs too with damn efficient bartenders. The male one was awesome! He got our drinks quick, which were decently priced (2 grey goose shots + 2 heinekens = $30 without tip). Yes, there's a smoking room, which was so weird to me because people would ash and put out their cigs on the carpet!!! What?! And there was a billiards table in there too. Bathrooms were the ones where I'd use a napkin to touch everything and were totally outdated and cramped! I avoided it like the plague. I managed to squirm to the front (see the pics I took under Ruby Skye!) and people up there, although VERY pushy and rude, were pretty cool to me (perks of being a girl). Everyone else, whether drunk or on something else, was having fun! Whatever! Do your thing!! A very VERY diverse crowd - I mean old, young, gay, straight, hot, not, etc etc. And lots of creepers! That reminds me - to that guy by the bar name "Riz" who rubbed my hand as I was ordering drinks for my friend and me - you were fucking weird and scared me with your bug eyes that were below my eye level, you short ass creeper. I'm pretty sure you and your creeper buddy were on drugs but thanks for taking a hint when I mentioned I had a boyfriend. 5 star event for Tiesto. 4 stars for Ruby Skye!
