Went for lunch and got right in (after hearing there would be a wait.)  I'm pretty plain as far as burgers go but I should have ordered a specialty because the standard 'flip' burger is small and $6.50.  The other burgers that were ordered in the group looked delicious and I regretted my decision when they came to the table.  All good reviews from the other three in the group (Po Boyger, Cuban and Turkey burger). Their milkshakes are made by compressed liquid N2 (liquid nitrogen); not really sure how.  I had the 'Krispy Kreme' and it tastes exactly like a KK doughnut, you can even see little bits of one crushed up in your shake.  The price will hinder me from getting another one ($6), not to mention the calories that are involved, but it was worth the try.  All in all, great place but a little pricey for lunch.

My good pal Super Fun Jen and I went for a night out on Saturday a couple of weeks ago. Tried getting into Slide but the line was ridiculously long. So we ended up at the Starlight Room. I've been here before but it's been years since. The only thing I remembered was the plush, red dcor (booths, long velvet drapes, crystal chandeliers) and the stunning views. This place was voted as one of the best over 30 singles scene (rated 9.4 in city search). Ha, my ass. More like over 50 single's scene... If you're a girl looking for a Silver Fox/Sugar Daddy (guys, you have your choice of a Cougar), then you are at the right place. My friend and I were like prime cuts to a prisoner on his last meal. We got drinks flowing all night to us because well we look good and we are on average 20 years younger than most of the guys. The place was packed with older folks lost in some sort of time warp, corporate types having their holiday party and/or tourists that read the wrong travel book. Bartenders made decent stiff drinks but you had to know or be friendly with the bartenders first in order to get a drink at the bar (i.e the bar was 3 deep with folks trying to get a drink). Despite the cheese factor, we had a good time and many stories to tell. Three stars for that. Good story: my friend had danced with this guy old enough to be her dad. Let's call him Fireballs. She told me that she knew she was dancing with an old guy when he started to twirl her to 50 Cent.
