by Heather S. on I like how everyone says "OMG! the guac is amazing and they make it right at your table!" People, guacamole is NOT HARD to make. You can even buy mocaljetes (the bowls it's made in) at places on Buford. Guac is avocado, tomato, onion, peppers, salt and some lime. It's not worthy of all the praise. You guys are just too used to eating the guac that most places have that have mayo in it to keep it from turning brown. OMG, this has turned into a lesson in making guac...back to the review. The guac is good, but I can make it at home for about $2-3 instead of $12. The pom margaritas are good, but $10 for a small margarita? Everything I have ever had here is good, but again, why the hell is it so expensive??? BUt you know what? The food used to be AMAZING. This was the place we went for upscale food and not just going to a taqueria on Buford (or making stuff at home). But I was just there last night for the first time in a long time and it just wasn't as good as it used to be. I had the carne asada tacos which used to melt in my mouth and now, just kind of sits there. If I had left this review a year ago, It would have been 4 stars, but the quality has gone down so much that I can't even manage to give them 3 stars.
by Lacresha Voto on I always depends on the crowd of people you go with, the crowd that's already at the club and your expectations when you go to any club/bar. From a design stand point the place is very rich in atmosphere and makes it feel like you're in a lavish lounge from a dated period that's not quite defineable. The people are hudled around small cocktail tables and are schmoozing it up. The drinks are good, but some of the bartenders aren't very socialble, they're there just to give you drinks and nothing more (not even a smile)... although i can imagine some must be nice. Bottomline: If you're looking to stand around and talk to people and try to meet people just as fake as you, then be my guest here. But if you actually want to make real friends, go somewhere else or bring your own. A for the decor/atmosphere C for the crowd
