After I had exhausted my many options for table reservations in Hollywood I decided to throw a law school graduation celebration at My House.  At first it was impossible to make a reservation with any of the promoters. . . no one wanted to respond until friday night, when the rsvp was for Saturday. . . i needed to make a ton of plans so that was annoying but hey we got the table. There was no trouble getting in, the biggest surprise of the night!!!  The table was a cabana on the patio, it was large and private we loved it!  The waitress was attentive, but unfortunately one of the less attractive girls working that night : ( The night was amazing and I would have given the club a 5 before the second half of my party arrived. . . .  The second half of my party arrived later and it took an HOUR to get then in. . .  Of course that was a bit of a buzz kill for those of us inside, who wants to party when your other half is fighting to get in!?  This is when the bouncers where complete moronic ass holes.  I went to see what I could do to get them in and there were such dense guys at the door, it was just useless to talk to anyone in a uniform. . . eventually we found a promoter that was able to get everyone in (thanks!.) Long story short. . . we had a great time!  I doubt I would ever go to My House WITHOUT a table reservation. . . the money is well worth not standing outside for hours not even knowing if you will ever get in.

Four of my all-time favorite bar photos were taken in the Star Bar photo booth. The night we went was, dare I say it, cock night, meaning the gents were free and the ladies coughed up a $5 cover charge. An older punk band was on stage which lit my fire cuz I'm that kind of girl, but since I was there with more conservative work friends, I rocked out while they hailed a cab and dragged me off to our next destination. Definitely looking forward to returning here on my next visit to Atlanta!
