LOVE the ladies that work here! The are all stunning, and so kind!  The food here was ok, not necessarily something I would eat everyday.  The chicken satay and peanut sauce is delicious! The ice cream, however, was not so tasty, I had the sweet potato ice cream (I believe that is what it was called).  The menu for everyone is set when you make your reservation, and the food is served family style which is fine by me! The ladies did two different sets of performances on top of the bar, which consisted of lip synching and dancing! Downstairs is the "club" part of the restaurant, which was interesting to say the least.  Some crazy characters frequent the place (which was obvious to a newcomer).  The DJ was not playing the best dance music, and some of it was pretty old, which I do not personally enjoy.  Other than the dismal "club" I would have to say that overall it was a great experience!

Club Malediction Society is like stepping into another realm.  It is a place of dark and beautiful dimensions, brooding darkwave and pounding EBM/Industrial music, and other musical genres somewhere in between. Club Malediction Society is every Sunday evening from 10 pm - 2 am at the beautifully remodeled, neo-gothic Monte Cristo nightclub. For those not yet into EBM/Industrial, Malediction Society is the perfect introduction, since it is by far the most "comfortable" EBM/industrial club in L.A. in terms of plush seating around the perimeter of the dance floor.  Both those new to this genre of music, and seasoned darkwave/EBM/industrial club aficionados are sure to be enthralled by the  musical offerings from resident DJ's Xian and Amanda, who are legendary on the Darkwave/EBM/Industrial scene.  Toward 11:30, the music can get intense, as it should be. Parking is reasonably priced and onsite. Just to set the record straight regarding the review by Derek R., the club at the Monte Cristo on Sunday night is *always*, without exception, Malediction Society.  On Saturday at the Monte Cristo, there is a rotation of clubs, including Ruin, Disko Nekro, Mode:M, and occasionally (and hopefully more frequently, since it's pretty awesome) Club Suicide.  And to set the record even straighter, the Monte Cristo has something of an identity crisis.  Anyone who's been going there for a long time knows the venue as "The Monte Cristo", however the sign which they set up on Wilshire Blvd directing patrons to the parking lot down the side street refers to the club as "Club 3100 Wilshire".

As great a gastronomical experience as I have ever had! First, I had heard of a Sazerac but had never had one... Parish delivered! I was amazing, a sensory experience and only set the atmosphere for what was to follow... Next came another first, a savory cheesecake of bacon and garlic! Yes, a bacon and garlic cheese cake and not just your ordinary bacon... this had great hunks of bountiful pork flavor and smokiness that continued to amaze. The entree was the incredible brisket... This meat (translated nectar of the Gods!) was absolutely the best I have ever consumed in my 54 years!!! This was heaven on a fork and I truly didn't care if I died in the next minutes after a bite! The "grits" risotto that the delicate meat rested upon was equal to the task of matching the smoke-forward flavor of the meat! The goodies contained in  the grits (collard greens and garlic cloves) were a great compliment to the dish! I only wish I had room for the dessert it all sounded wonderful...but that will be for another visit.
