by Todd P. on Expensive, usually packed with tourists and children, and fairly amusement park-ish, but for someone who didn't grow up near the coast or near an aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium is impressive. Best part, by far, is the deep sea adventure section where you sit in a room with a massive, movie-screen sized acrylic wall with a view of a myriad of beautiful, graceful fish, from small little ones to giant groupers and the show-stopper whale sharks. Last time I went with family in tow, visiting from out of town, we hit this exhibit just as they were about to feed the whale sharks and chum the waters for the other fish. Fascinating. Other favorites -- beluga whales, Japanese spider crabs (huge!) and the leafy and weedy sea dragons. My advice -- go once for the experience, preferably in the middle of the week during the school year so the crowds aren't as crazy and you don't have to throw down with a 5th grader.
by Bobby M. on Wow you all are right, Strata is terrible and the experiences you all had are fuckin funny. My first time going was last night... I expected it to be so-so, it wasnt even that. I didnt have to wait long on the line but they charged me 20 bucks even though it was before 12, I was on the guest list and I was getting bottle service that night. Wow. The VIP is weak, the regulars kept crashing the area asking for drinks! What da hell! The ladies are fly and only dance with each other or with you fellas for one song and then of course their ugly friend grabs the girl you so happen to dance with because the ugly friend is alone. Cockblocker. Never come here, unless its a friends birthday bash and your really close to your friend like I was last night.
