4.5 our of 5* *I take away .5 stars because Brent and Alphonzo, two of the coolest guys on the planet, no longer work there. Sometimes awesome people make the biggest difference when there are so many nightlife options out there. This place is my second home. Awesome sound. Exceptionally professional door-staff (Jason and Sal: you guys are awesome). Personable bartenders whom are on-point. Ridiculously cool table and seating layout that permits people to dance tabletop (added bonus points: they let your dance on the couches too). Not too big, not too small. Bathroom can get to be a circus, but they are exceptionally efficient about the crowd control. I'd recommend the place to anyone and everyone. One small FYI: getting a table with bottle service is great because it's your table to do with as you please. only problem i have seen time and time again: because they sell the table to two parties at a time, there's always going to be your party (on one side) who has a bunch of fun-loving, cool people just there to have a good time, aaaaaand (on the other half of the table) some douchebag with only 2 friends who keeps getting in you + your friends face the moment anyone crosses the imaginary halfway point on the table. in conclusion, if you get bottle service, be prepared to play referee fir the first hour or so, until the douchebags find a couple temporary friends to distract them from the fact that you are there to have a good time rather than be, well, douchey. Great intimate setting to watch your favorite bands. I went here for the Peter Bjorn and John show and it was a pleasant experience. First of all, the setting is nice in the heart of North Beach. The interior had a lot of places to sit but was spacious enough to move around. The beer was definitely overpriced, but, unlike other bigger venues, this place has in and out privileges just as long as you get your hand stamped. Instead of paying $8 for a friggin' Fat Tire, you can just across the street at the bar and pay half the price and play a game of billiards while you're at it. In this inflated economy, you do what you gotta do. Overall, if you like to see your favorite bands in an intimate setting, this is the place to be.

The people at O'Terrill's are great. The service is good, and the food was, too. I had the corned beef and cabbage, and the corned beef was lean and tender. They also have a few choice brews and $3 drink specials every day of the week. They have a lot, but it's very small. The area is still a bit sketchy, so I'd recommend going for an afternoon instead of evening.
