by Eric T. on i've never heard the term "pop bottles" used so much until my buddy got back from Atlanta. Since then, every time we go to a place that offers VIP Bottle Service, we get it. Enter Temple, and our newly acquired infatuation with bottle service. We heard great things about Temple, about how it has multiple dance floors, great music, great crowd. So needless to say we were expecting great things. We get to Temple and tell them that we would like to get bottle service in the "hip-hop" room. Yes i said it, there is a "hip-hop" room. So without even looking at the room i expected a lot of good dance music, money flying in the air, half naked chicks... you know, like a rap video. none of that came true, instead we got a booth on the side while everyone was breakdancing. Yup, no dress code, guys were breakdancing, girls were breakdancing, cats and dogs were getting along... totally weird stuff. So when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade right? So we started drinking, then drinking some more until we were all pretty wasted and then next thing you know we're outside hailing a cab. Yeah, that memorable. Here are some tips if you decide to go, which i don't highly recommend but hey it's up to you: - If you get bottle service, go upstairs to a more private booth. the downstairs is really not what you would expect. -Don't expect great service from the bouncers or the waitress lady, they can really care less if you bought a bottle or that your even spending money at their club -Steal as many free mints from the bathroom as possible, it'll make you feel invincible. Trust me i know. I HESITATE TO APPROVE, SO I WON'T!
by David T. on Why don't we stop pretending that there's anything of interest to visitors in the Gallery (unless they've never seen a Payless store before) and just call it what it is: an urban mistake. The only useful part of it is the train station and as a way to get to the Convention Center (++) and the Terminal Market (+++).
by Milan Behner on The idea of having beds all around a club decked out with lavish decor, Roman-like ambiance is a sight to see, which unfortunately you must have to fully experience what the club has to offer. The music is great, the service is good, but it all comes at a price. The go-go dancers they have with the very attractive wait staff, make the evening a pleasurable if not sensual one, especially when laying in a bed as the clubgoers dance all around you. Its good fun, but a bed is a must. Get hammered before you come here, because the drinks are *unbelievably* spendy. The attitude from the bouncers / door hosts are relatively the same as you'll find in the most lavish of clubs -- arrogant, brash, and unbelievably rude. The people are most definitely beautiful here, however, you have to be prepared to come in here either with a) a lot of money you're willling to spend b) bottle service if you arrive after midnight c) tolerate the pushy service d) willing to part with $20 of cover if you're not on any list or haven't shown up before 11PM (which sometimes isn't even enough)
