Back Porch - B&B Bar..the best place to party all year round and especially during the Sturgis Rally
by Stephanie J. on Perhaps I'm just being critical, but, this place is SO overrated! Its one of those situations where "you can take them out the hood, but you can't take the hood out of them." The drinks are over priced...I think it was like ten dollars for a Sex on the Beach (bottom shelf). The VIP area has PICNIC TABLES! There really aren't any special privileges for being VIP. Across from VIP, there is also a "groupie" area for the after hours trash....The "ballers" of the club let "big booty judy" drink her poison for free, in hopes of a "night cap". They call it a lounge, but it really doesn't offer an opportunity for people to mingle and socialize. It's really a glorified club. Oh yea, and get ready to walk through crackhead central to get to your car. Lol, you know its hood when the crackheads show you where to park.....for tips! By the way, I went on a Wednesday night, the both times I visited. Have fun!
by Kevin Mpls on I stopped in at the Back Porch during the 2009 Sturgis Rally. I was in the back bar when I saw the most beautiful woman in the world! She wore pink and had lost her hair in her battle! She was the only real warrior I had met all rally! This place was the only real biker bar I found all trip. And she was the only warrior I found all trip! God's speed to her! The Back Porch is a must stop for any "real" biker.....
by Julia S. on What the hell? First of all they charge a cover. Not worth it. The drinks are ridiculously expensive. Not to mention shots are more expensive than drinks. What really pissed me off is the day after I went to Roe I randomly decided to check my bank account online and OH there's a magical $50 charge from ROE. There was my $21 charge which I did in fact make, but some asshole decided to tip him/herself out an extra $50. I left my card downstairs on open tab while I stayed upstairs for the rest of the night. I didn't black out and go crazy. Ridiculous!!! ROE SUCKS. I will NOT be going back.
by Bryan Turnham on I was really surprised to see so much hating going on for Webster Hall. I didn't have a bad experience at all. I only went for a concert and idn't catch out any of the club atmosphere, which I probably wouldn't be in to anyway. And I'm not going to lie and say I know so much about sound quality. I don't. But I would imagine it would sound bad if it were bad, and it didn't. I saw Sondre Lerche here, and he did seem to be having some guitar problems and so I guess that's the norm of this place, but it made for an entertaining bit of the concert, so I didn't mind. It's got nice decor, a neat seating-ish area off to the side, and for whatever reason was an okay-situated area for a girl who's five-foot-three to see a standing General Admissin show. And a lot of Sondre Lerche fans are tall! Must be a Norweigan thing. For me, the bigger draw-back of this place was the bar. We didn't feel like drinking, but I did order Andrew J. a diet coke- four dollars? Really? I know I should expect it, but still. Boo.
