It is a good hole in the wall, but it can be packed so get there for a early hh if you want to get a place to sit... there is not a lot of space if you aren't at a table...

Can I talk to your manager? WHAT??? 111 is soooooo disorganized and confusing. I love Wednesday nights here, I have enjoyed many art shows (Doze Green is an all-time fave) here, and I'm always down to go when my friends are spinning. Rob Swift and Ben Watt are two of the tastiest treats 111 has presented me with- those kinds of nights are always well worth a trip. That said, this is no place I want to be on a weekend night. The Friday crowd tends to be very young and not in the good way. More like in the drunk way. And the obnoxious way. And the socially retarded way. And the "not too young" people are mostly skeevie guys, looking to hook up with the young, drunk, obnoxious ladies. Good luck, dude. This place is a little man-heavy. Don't get me wrong- I'm not complaining about the 21 year olds hitting on me, I just wish they wouldn't spill their beer on my shoe while they're doing it. Perfect for midweek beats and a cocktail or two but I will take a pass on the weekend. Big points for the huge, clean, modern space and the smoking area outside. Nice bartenders behind the enormous bar make the experience that much better.

I should really give it 5 stars anyway because the food is SUPERB. i ordered the udon vegetable soup which was out of this world with giant shitake mushroom caps and a tasty broth. the spicy hot tofu is super spicy and light and just a little crispy on the edges. ordering was a breeze and only took 15 minutes. They offer valet parking and the restaurant itself looks refined and tranquil. the price of the soup was 4.95 and i must have gotten a whole QUART which was great. the tofu entree was 8.95 and the portion was normal, so perhaps in fact a little over priced for the size. everything was delicious and i really look forward to going back there! 06/06 Update: I came back here to dine in and was thrilled! my friend and i started off in the bar area with some wine (their wine list is a head above everyone elses boring lists) and observed the E room being used as a dining room. it was LOUD. very very LOUD. we had a ten minute wait and when our buzzer went off we were petrified that they would seat us in that room where a table had just opened up. They did not. whew! we got a booth to ourselves and decided to go for miso soup and then share an entree. miso soup was fine, nothing mind blowing, but the entree was a superstar! let's see if i can remember the full name: spicy green tea buckwheat noodles with vegetables. i think that's it. it was DELICIOUS and if i'm going to be honest i will tell you that i could definitely have eaten the whole thing myself. but then my friend would have been sad and hungry so i let her eat some... short update, but i definitely recommend the dining experience!
