by clinton l. on crap. don't come here, if you want to dance. they closed up the dance-floor last night, so it was super crowded, with no room to do anything. People were literally trying to dance in the BATHROOM. We left a little bit after midnight, because the management had their bouncers block people from going into the dance-floor. I'm never coming here again.
by Alec Hubertus on Some of the best Martini's in the City. Martuni's smacks of the Deco decadence that spatters this area of the City. My first foray into here was after my audition to get accepted to the Conservatory of Music (now down the street from Martuni's) and had a fantastic time. Then once I moved here, I was introduced to the fantastic cabaret-variety shows that the drag queens do on Sunday evenings. With the likes of Trauma Flintstone, Keilbasa, and Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy, the tunes and sass just keep coming and are as strong as the drinks.
by Lauren S. on Should be under nightlife as many more people go to this place as a bar than they do as an actual cafe. This place is as pretty as the people that go there, so it's a great place to go if you're looking for that scene. The prices aren't terribly expensive compared to everywhere else in Atlanta, so to me that's not a problem. The best thing about the place is the layout. It's two stories with a large outdoors courtyard with a big fountain. Upstairs is a venue for concerts and a dance floor, usually with a $10.00 cover. The dj is actually pretty decent and it's a great locale for a girls night - but you'll have to deal with all those Buckhead Betties in training looking for their future hubbies - no doubt wearing a fraternity shirt or too tight polo.
