by Raphael Issler on Very large nightclub with a good dance floor. Thursday and Saturday night salsa. I like the djs here, they play more modern salsa music. I have really liked the music here. Sometimes I want to leave with a cd of the night's set. A lot of good dancers come here. I think Thursday night is the best, more serious dancers and not as crowded and drinking oriented. There is a full bar on the bottom floor and an upper loft area to chill out. There is also an outdoor patio area to get some fresh air. They provide water here as well if you are getting hot in here.
by kristin h. on fabulous pretty crowd(other than saturday..a little B&T), strong drinks, great food, amazing atmosphere, great music. if your looking for a nice lounge to sit and have a great drink, this is the place to go...its my new favorite place and im very picky....
by Pamela D. on Beautiful architecture and awesome acoustics. One of the better mid-sized venues in the bay area for those to reasons. I also give the GAM props for having 'express beer and shot' lanes, where you can get a nice big cup of Newcastle without being forced to wait behind a large group of teetering sorority girls ordering fuzzy navels. The Great American Music Hall also sells dinner plates. I was too poor to indulge in that luxury, but the good did look pretty delicious.
