by kate w. on disclaimer: i would give this place one star, but i've had fun there at new wave city a few times, i saw rose mcdowall's band, sorrow play there, and once a bouncer let me in without ID because i had left it at home. so that's where the extra star comes from. reasons it deserves one star: 1. the jack daniels is not jack daniels, it's well whiskey, and they charge you for jack. to get jack, i think you have to order jameson, which costs even more. which leads me to wonder, how do you get jameson at this place? this also applies to vodka, as friends of mine have reported. the alcohol you DO get is like the nectar of death, and the drinks are way overpriced. 2. it lacks ambiance. 3. cover charges at clubs there are always too much.
by Ophelia Kolis on the factory is exactly that a factory. Bad ventilation, you can die form heat exhaustion. They changed the smoking areas to only one patio for non VIP. Bartenders are literally retarded cannot run a credit card properly, then when you give them cash they cannot make simple change when you hand them 2 bills for a drink total of $140. Shots are served warm as hell. Coat check is in the middle of the club for some reason. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the club, not bueno for short dresses/ skirts. Stair are also very narrow like stair in a home. Few perks, two actually good size dance floor, and good music two rooms.
