Trudy's is one of those places that I fail to understand the popularity (like Chuy's and Olive Garden). The wait is always an hour for a table in the middle of thick cigarette smoke. That being said, I'm vegan which prevents me from ordering the vast majority of things on the menu. Also, I've never ordered alcohol, which I know is the main draw. For vegans, Trudy's can make you the same boring vegetable soft tacos that you are forced to eat at every other chain Tex-Mex place. The rice and beans are also vegan. I certainly wouldn't make Trudy's my first choice, but vegans definitely won't starve.

Gotta say these tacos were delicious but WAY overpriced. I went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon and had 4 different tacos, all Nick's style by the way. Carne Asada, Pollo Asada, Fried Fish and Pulled Pork with a large strawberry agua fresca. -Tacos were delicious. Nick's way is the only way. The guac was thick and alvacado-y. The pico de gallo was so good. That being said... -Way too expensive. The pork, chicken and beef tacos were $3.50 each. The fish was $5. Then I wanted all four taco's "Nick's way", which added $1 each! I ended up paying $25 dollars for four tacos and a large drink. It was ridiculous. -Order at the cash register on the right of the restaurant and then find your own seating. Nice comfortable atmosphere, but I like a messy taco with a dirty diner feel. -Parking might be a pain as its on Broadway. Bring change for meter! -Went there with my tubby girlfriend. 2 people eating 4 tacos, nick's way... and I was not full at the end. But maybe I'm a fatass in denial. I just want to say "Nick's way" is a rip off. I think all tacos should be nick's way without the $1 extra add on. You can't call your restaurant Nick's crispy tacos and charge customers $1 to make it so... If you're a taco lover and willing to hash out the cash, Nick's is worth a one time visit. But I won't be going there again. Too pricey for too little.

I have organized four holiday parties at Terra.  I love the space.  All of the parties have been a huge success thanks to Dusty, Stephanie and Global Gourmet.  Dusty is great to work with and I will continue to be a repeat customer.  I am very excited about trying out the new space downstairs.  It looks amazing.
