I walked in here on a Sunday, was not the first time i had been. I was looking for a good burger or sandwich for lunch. It was pretty crowded for playoff football, but we were still able to get a table right away. I placed my order to the waitress. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for our food, then decided to leave because we had to be on our way somewhere by that time. For what we ordered and the amount of people at the place i thought how could it be taking this long. As i watched people who had come after us receive their food i decided i couldn't pay this business my money for such horrible slow service. I know the food is good, and the staff is friendly but that experience left me not wanting to go back for food. Drinks maybe..

Cool views of the city of course, but the whole scene felt a bit awkward (and frankly, we felt way too young to be in here). Definitely worth a stop if you like city views. We were up here at sunset and it was actually really nice. It was a Sunday evening so definitely quiet. The service was nice, given that it was so dead. I felt bad for the waitresses dressed in those dresses. Drinks were pricey, but to be expected as it is at the top of the Drake hotel...

Spring, 2008: Now upstair restaurant is open. In addition to sushi, it serves some great Thai dishes. Sometimes I'm dubious about a sushi place serving dishes from other Asian countries (and vice versa), but this place seems to work well. If you want something sweet and salty, order Thai. if you want something raw and simple, order sushi. I've had both Thai and sushi there since the re-opening, and the quality hasn't degraded. -------------------------------------------------- -------------- Fall, 2007:Under new management, the underground club space has been re-opened, and ground-floor restaurant area is currently under renovation soon to become an Asian (not only Sushi, but Thai, Chinese, etc.) restaurant. Although I think it'll never be the same Oslo I remember, I'm looking forward to visiting this place again. -------------------------------------------------- --------- OK, in case you are from out of town and didn't know, Oslo closed down a while back. There were signs of mis-management. The sushi grade and service seemed to keep going down. AC was out of order on a hot summer day. Some beers were out of stock, etc. etc. Despite the smokiness and lack of oxygen, the downstair club space was a wonderful place. I saw many incredible performances and DJ's there, and there were always a group of cool people to talk to. I miss it.
