I've been wanting to go here for a loooong time.  The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the cocktails are a) creative & inspiring, b) exceptionally well-made, & c) MUCH more reasonably priced than a lot of other places making similar styles of drinks ($7?  $8?  I wouldn't be surprised if some of the same concoctions were to go for $10-14 at some of the swankier cocktail spots in the city). I started with a regular Manhattan, which was one of the most fantastic Manhattans I've had out at a bar.  And $7!  $7!!  Just fantastic.  Other delicious beverages included a Star Daisy (Gin, Applejack, lemon juice, triple sec, sugar) and a Smoke Weed (Mezcal, lime juice, sugar, cayenne pepper).  This was my personal favorite, as I am a huge fan of all things Mezcal & spicy.  I plan on trying to make one at home in the not-too-dim-&-misty-future.  There was a fourth drink made with tequila that was a special for the night, and I wish I could remember what all was in it.  I do remember that it was just as excellent as everything else we had though. And of course, the real bonus is the proximity to the movie theater on Van Ness.  Go over early, grab your tickets, then pop on over to Koko for a few drinks before the show.  Can't beat it.

Time: Went here on a Thursday Night. And apparently it was a UCLA club night, so the crowd was college kids with money to blow and everyone was good to get down. Scene: The DJ was great. Mixing contemporary beats and the great dance hits. The dance floor was packed, so the club was doing something right that night. Personnel: Bartenders were quick but the security is pretty outrageous for taking my friends lanyard. Overall: Would go back for a second run. But maybe not on the night when 40 year olds that Tiffany N. described.

Everyone should go play at The Park. This place is awesome and made my NY trip for sure. This place is big and has areas that fulfill whatever you want to do; you can drink inside or outside porch area. You can chill downstairs to chat it up or party up top til 4 in the morning. No cover, drinks are reasonably priced, crowd is diverse and fun. Lovin it!
