One word: michilada. They are delicious. This place has the funniest theme. It's got a country-western thing going on (Blues Brothers anyone?!) So on the inside it looks like a log cabin and the curtains have these great country scenes on them. Also, think horses, miniature horses. They have all these fake mounted animal heads. But they're miniature! It's hilarious. There is also a great patio area with lots of seating. I haven't eaten the pizza, yet, so I can't comment on it. But I just wanted to say that the decor and drinks are great! I'll for sure be back for pizza later on.

Went here on a Thursday night to hear a friend DJ.  From the moment we stepped to the door we were treated like VIPs.  Hehe, it pays to know the DJ!  Inside, it's all dark lacquered wood, Asian brocade walls, and rosy Japanese lanterns.  Plus a gigantic mirror ball for that kick of disco fever.  The high ceilings give it an airy, spacious feel, even when the floor is packed.  I liked the fact that there's a bar, stage, and dancefloor like a traditional night club, as well as restaurant touches like comfy booth seating and small ottomans and coffee tables.  The crowd was a youngish mix of gay and straight.  I felt like a lot of the kids were college freshmen going clubbing in NYC for the first time.  That could be a con or a pro, depending on your preferences, I suppose... I went during an all Depeche Mode tribute night, and one of the DJs (not my friend) was pretty um, bad.  But I had fun drinking sake and watching people lose it to the music.  Will go back for sure, on a night that they're playing more than one artist ;)

I'll review the Pheonix for it's lunchtime cuisine. I hit this place up during the week on my lunch break. The waitresses almost always change and there is almost always the guy having bud for lunch sitting at the bar. The burgers, buff chicken sand, steak and cheese, and nachos are all pretty good. They also serve smithwicks which you can't find many places...get it with a guinness head...just sounds cool. The place has totally different, dive feel during the day compared to the night. Why wait in line at the Miracle when you can go to the Pheonix?
