by Scottie Gollier on Err this place ruined my halloween plans. I bought tickets for halloween from joonbug. Doors open at 10 pm. I arrived promptly at 10 pm and I understood that I had to wait on line for 15 mins tops. After all I paid $30 for a ticket, I should get in! After waiting for a hour and half the lines on both sides of the door were getting longer. The bouncers were letting people in randomly. The crowd was getting rowdy. By 11:30 the cops shut down the party. Ridiculous! I was looking forward to ajna but obviously this place over sold their tickets.
by Gabriel L. on I would have rated 6FU four stars, but I'll get to that later. First the positives. As other reviews have pointed out, 6FU has a sweet rooftop deck that overlooks the cemetery. Very few things beat sitting out there on a warm summer afternoon/evening with a cold beer with the downtown skyline to your left, and dead people to your right. The beer selection is decent, and they had some pretty kickin' stuffed jalapeno appetizers (don't remember the name, but it had something to do with rats). The shrimp and grits were pretty good, although the portions were pretty skimpy for what they charged (come on, how cheap are grits after all?). The reason I first went to 6FU is that the Atlanta Intown newspaper's burger guys had rated it as their top choice out of the dozen or so places they had tried around town. When I got to 6FU, however, I never even bothered ordering a burger because 6FU is one of those sissy-ass establishments where they won't cook your burger rare. For a place that's right across the street from a cemetery, you'd figure they'd be a little cooler with tempting fate... anyway, that's why I knocked my score down to three stars.
