by Reena Creary on Well, to start with, the place is a great location in case you are planning for a relaxed night out in a club and not killing yourself over actually entering the place. Music is good,not blow you away stuff but good house + top 40. Get in before midnight if you don't want to run into problems getting inside, and get ready for a crowd that ranks all over except too hot and high. Having said all this, the place is great for what it provides, the only two big booos the place gets are these: the guys that think are the coolest in NYC and just have very sketchy means to prove all that wrong. And most importantly, there is an employee that constantly is in a demented search for your coat or jacket and forces you to check it in. C'MON!!! This is why I like this club in the first place, there isn't any other club I know that plays this music and is sort of this laid back (room to leave your stuff and for girls to sit without having a table) and you're still going to have at least 3 - 4 drinks!! Overall I would give this place 4 stars but just because of that jerk and his obnoxious attitude this gets a 3. If you don't mind that, knock yourself out, it does deserve a visit if you are not making big plans and want to hang out in a club in Manhattan.
by Marylou Vaughn on So for Halloween, they advertised that you should probably buy your tickets before online just to secure a "low" price before they jack it up at the door. We ended up paying $20 a piece, plus about $4 in service fees. When we got there, we paid $10 to park, then headed to the door... (it was about 1:30am or so) which is when we found out that they were requesting an additional $10 on top of the $20 we had already paid! Seriously... the hell?! So we presented to them our sob story about how we weren't having the greatest night due to a boot we had just gotten on our car (true story)... and lucky for us, they let us in without paying any extra. Once inside.. Music: worst club music ever... I've always heard that college night is pretty good, but the nights for the 21+ always suck. True story. It was all this funky techno-type music that we just couldn't get ourselves to groove to. Crowd: There was this one particular dude who kept on circling around the room, and would come over and stare at us whenever he stopped by our area. Creepy! And there was another guy who really kept trying to dance with us... Luckily, we were there with a guy friend, who we ended up using as a physical barricade. Sheesh! So, we ended up staying only about 45 minutes. Silly.... what a waste of $10 to park! As a consolation, we just ended up chilling at the Taco Bell drive-thru. People need to stop coming here, and thinking this is like the *only* club the ATL has to offer. I won't be back, not unless it's free and I have a guarantee that the creepy guys will be backing off.
by anthony c. on Scenesters, celeb-stalkers, fashionistas, socialite-wannabes, hipsters run abundant here. However, I always have a great/interesting time here on Wednesday nights. The crowd can be a bit much, and the drink prices are outrageous [I advise you to make friends with the host or promoters] but whatever--the music's GREAT and the spotted celebs make for a good time.
