by Mindi Dratch on Damn, I wish there was a wine bar where I lived because Blush is super-cool, tres chic and modern establishment. The whole vibe is cozy and classy with dim lighting great looking people and staff, there was even string quartet playing some jazz music to set the mood. Obviously, there wine list is very extensive, but they also have a great food menu... including an awesome cheese plate to go with your glass of wine. Prices are reasonable for this type of place and service was attentive but not intrusive. This is a great place if you're looking for someplace to have a very chill relaxing night out with your friends and enjoy good conversation, or even a date.... It does get really busy here, so it may be hard to find seating here, but it would definitely be worth the wait.
by Lavinia Scripter on I came here for the first time last night for Halloween. With pre-sale tickets, the line was about 10 minutes long. The bouncers are professional and patient. We got in without any problems once our tickets were scanned. Walking in, you'll notice a large dance floor and a balcony over looking said dance floor. You will feel the AC blasting, so dance as much as you want. The club itself doesn't smell, but we were crop dusted pretty hard right when we got on the dance floor. The other patrons are a mixed bag. There are some that are really nice and there are also some shadier characters. I'm not a big fan of electronica, but even still, it got the job done. The drinks we ordered were strong and the bartenders were attentive and patient when we couldn't agree on what to order. I don't know if they have this every night, but they put on a pretty cool show with two women swinging from a giant hula hoop dangling 20 feet in the air. They could have been from cirque du soleil with those moves.

Sitting right on the Hudson, the scenery (of the city and the people) can't be beat. Relax, drink and people-watch all while soaking up some rays.
