by Sandy S. on This place is casual with a retro 60's vibe to it. The best thing about this place is the pool area. They have a cool looking statue of a lizard by the pool. At night you can see S or C shapes or what looks like it to me in the pool. This place isn't too expensive, but it's not cheap either. My friend and I shared a room and it cost almost $200.00 for one of their better rooms. There was a mix-up with the room and the first one we got was a mess! It looked like rock stars did party hard in there! So my friend complained to the lady at the desk and she was sweet and gave us another room which was thankfully clean this time. A few minutes later, a guy knocked at our door and said something about the room. I was a little scared at first and told her to come to the door. She then said, no, uh uh, this is our room, go away. He then said that he came to give us something from the hotel. It turned out that he was the night manager and to apologize for the first room that was given to us, they brought us a small bottle of red wine which was nice of them to do-:) The heating wasn't working properly at the time and we were freezing, but he took care of things. We just had to leave soon after that since the noise from the construction or remodeling they were doing there was too much to bear. It sounded like a construction site! Thankfully it was quiet by the time we got back. I've heard that famous musicians and actors have stayed her before which is interesting to me since they have no room service. There are some good restaurants across the street and nearby. And of course there is a liquor store that opens late across the street. What would a rock n' roll hotel be like without something like that around?
by Kiki R. on As Sean J. says, it's not comparable to the other location BUT as I was in an airport I was happy to find a very lovable BBQ brisket sandwich. If I had only saved some room for Amy's ice cream!!
by Lydia Stenstrom on My experience here was so awful that it inspired me to join rateclubs to spread the word. Absolutely the most inconsiderate bouncer that I have ever met. I waited in line for an hour only to find out that the bouncer was not letting anybody in at all. Only people with reservations could go in. Perhaps he could of informed the 40 of us waiting in line of this earlier rather than make us stand in a non-moving line?
