by Miel H. on Fabulous venue! I hosted my friends birthday party here and it was a great success. Super hot art behind the bar actually sort of looked like the birthday girl so I knew that I had chosen well. Parking is totally no hassle. Bartenders are very chill and friendly. The space is huge and has a lot of potential for holding performance art, visual art and can also be separated into two rooms very easily. The furniture and decor is mildly upscale without being pretentious and bathrooms are clean. It was a benefit night for a girl riding the Aids ride and a bunch of DJs donated their time to her cause. This drew in quite a happy crowd for a Thursday night. People were chatting and laughing and dancing with strangers, now that's a good vibe. Wine was around $6 for the cheap glass. Very close to MUNI 22 bus which is an owl. This place is prolly gonna boom so catch it while it is still your local hot spot.
by Meredith U. on Went here for a friend's birthday party last night. We arrived shortly after midnight on a Saturday night, and I was shocked to see that the only people there were with our party. It worked out well for us, since there were about 30 of us and the space was not huge, so we had free reign and it wasn't obnoxiously crowded. I'd recommend hosting a party here for that reason, but I would be very hesitant to return in a random small group. Much love for $5 beers in the East Village though. Also, the music was pretty fun to dance to, and I liked the round booths (may or may not have been several make-out sessions going on there by the end of the night).
by Tommye Bigelow on I'm starting to feel guilty about giving out so many positive reviews, but what can I say? I'm a happy guy. I enjoy stuff. And I'm flexible. This place is what it is -- it's over priced, the music is pretty standard top 40 (DJ was good, though). There's a bunch of dudes doing the wallflower and then tons of beautiful women dressed scandalously dancing on the dance floor. It never got too crowded. It wasn't hot like previous reviews said. And as other people alluded to, yes, there are a lot of Asian people here but I don't see how that should matter. So yeah, looking for a place to dance? Good vibe? This is the spot.
