For a club, it's kind of disappointing. The drinks are waaaay overpriced ($15 for a shot of plain VS cognac). The interior decor is a poor imitation... (more)

You can't really go wrong with the half-price pizzas during happy hour, but I don't think I'd be inclined to pay full price for one. They are decent,... (more)

This is around the corner from my house, so I end up here a lot. Unfortunately, I can't provide much in the way of a food review because I get the same thing almost every time, haha. I will say, without hesitation, that the duck-and-bacon pizza with pesto is the bomb. Repeat, the bomb. I have also tried the macaroni and cheese, which is excellent as well. I've tried other things, but I don't think they're on the menu anymore. As for the restaurant itself, the upstairs dining room is pretty straightforward. I don't go up there much. I usually sit in one of the downstairs areas. One is just a bar, and the other is a bar with a few tables. Sometimes there is a DJ in the latter room. The vibe is always chill here (though it can get loud at times), and the selection of beers and liquors involve only a few usual suspects. The house cocktails are creative. You'll see rare gins and whiskeys here, and the beer list includes some rarities as well (I love the deal on Sessions, which is delicious and kind of hard to find). Parking is easy and ample, the prices are fair, the service isn't bad and it's good for either dinner or a few drinks, depending on what you're looking for.

Well, all I can say, is when you get a little tired of downtown barhopping nonsense, this place isn't bad! Drinks aren't expensive, music ranges from your typical booty shaking tunes to newer country. The crowd runs very young, which leads to a little over-rowdiness sometimes. But, I've never had a bad time here.

Not sure why a search for this Lounge reveals two places. I think many people are right to point out that this place is difficult to get into. I would NEVER stand in line to get into any place. Afterall what could they possibly have 'in there'? Middlesex (on a Saturday night) has the following -eclectic crowd. (the best way to describe it is a mixer at the UN) -good music (definition of good is subjective; mine is it is good background noise that doesn't force me to pay attention and makes me dance) -Good well drinks. (I am not one who drinks this so your mileage will vary -my friends liked theirs) -friendly bar staff Middlesex also doesn't have this -enough bathrooms -large enough space -enough beer selection Despite all of the above and what earns it four stars is the place is unpretentious. I am not sure if this is deliberate or accidental, but it is commendable. So given this I would say show up early but once a line has formed I wouldn't dare stand in line. There really is never a need for that.
