If you have a love for art, music & enjoy mingling with a beautiful, eclectic group of people with a drink in hand.. Minna is the spot.. One of my favorite spots to hit up.. 2 great rooms of art & music. Dope spot to mingle, lounge & check out artists & their work. I've been here for several events & occasions on the weekends so I can't speak for the weekdays.. & their events update constantly so it's best to hit up their site to see what they've got crackin.. They do charge a cover depending on the event they are throwing or what night you go (though twice I was able to just walk in without anyone really noticing even though there was cover).. The bands that preform have been cool & they always have a good DJ spinnin'.. they make their drinks strong & the prices are reasonable.. even though they don't have a dress code, everyone there is dressed to impress.. This spot usually fills up real quick & probably the biggest minus is that they don't have enough room.. The main bar is spacious but is usually always packed so I usually find myself grabbing a drink from the smaller bar in the other room.. It gets even more packed when they have a private event & they close off the smaller room... If you're looking for a spot to have a good conversation &/or dance.. the main room might not be the best place to go due to how packed & loud it can get sometimes.. Great venue overall

Not crazy about the ambiance... can be a little stuffy, but without a doubt most dishes are typically great. The lobster mac n cheese is on the pricey side but it's the best I've had anywhere (it's actually the first place I've ever had it as well.) I actually crave it about once every six months and have to go to Rittienhouse to get my fix. Favorite cocktail.. the Buzz Aldrin (rimmed with Tang!) UPDATE: Ok, I've upped my rating after a couple more visits.. the upstairs lounge is definitely a fun place to be for Sunday brunch.. much more chill than the downstairs main room if you're looking for a little more quiet space. The Tiramisu Waffles are a fantastic "guilty brunch" selection, and the Lobster Mac'n'Cheese is still the best in Philly.

Dante's is definitely an Atlanta experience that is unlike any other places I can imagine. They have a pirate ship wrecked in the middle of the main dining room where live jazz bands play in the evening. Even if you can't get on the boat, pretty much anywhere you sit is going to feel interesting here. They have all kinds of nooks and crannies where they've hidden tables. Once I sat at a 2-seater on the stairs leading to the 2nd floor, which sounds crowded, but was kind of novels. Dante himself stopped by while he was gnawing on a bowl of ice cream and explained why nonsmokers get more enjoyment out of food. Crazy old man. The food itself is food-style, which is fun, if not always filling. It's cool to get skewers and dunk them and experiment with different ways that things might turn out. All the food products are high quality. The cheese plate is pretty incredible also, if you're into cheese, which you should be. Unless you're vegan. Probably don't come here if you're vegan. Great place for a date or a fancy friend night gathering. But I'd advise getting reservations-- it fills up pretty quick.
