by Hungry H. on One of my very favorite restaurants in the city. The service is great. Don't come here if you are in a hurry. Expect it to take at least an hour. This is an experience you want to savor. The food is delicious. The salmon is always good -- on pasta or as a meal. The veal is delicious. Salads are great. The garlic bread is addictive. If you go on the weekend, make a reservation, and if you want a booth, be sure to let them know and they will usually accommodate. Love, love this place. Can't say enough good things.
by Yvette W. on Definitely gets the honor for sexiest steakhouse in my book. The place just reeks of pretention though, the bankers, the wanna be actresses and the sugar poppas who love them. All the distractions aside, the place is really sleek looking and a chic vibe to it. A nice place for getting dressed up and meeting up with friends for a Friday night out. When you come to STK, you're definitely paying for the vibe and name. We were a party of 4 and was seated in a booth. While the food is good, it's clearly not the star here. Though I remember some of the sides being pretty yummy, particularly the truffle fries and creamy potatoes. One of the perks is that when you get out you're on the block of many other hip restaurants/lounges. How great for people watching!
by Miguel Wollner on SEISMIC NYE 2008 at Club Mighty Club Mighty is a great spot if you just want to have a bunch of music, people, and booze...and of course, the space outside for smoking, toking, and coking. The bathrooms are of course great (besides the girl sprawled out on the floor puking her guts out) and the bartenders are very friendly and know what they're doing. There were 3 open bars for NYE, a ball drop and complimentary champagne...but no food for an event that lasted 9pm-5am. If you're going to have people drinking that much, you should provide some sustenance. Hit the next door Chow's if you want some greasy Chinese food... The good part? No shady people....well, at least no shady 18 year old boys trying to grab your ass. p.s. - The club is cool, temperature wise, but remember to keep dancing and you'll end up nice and sweaty....with some guy kissing your neck.
