Looking for a date spot that won't break the bank?  Bobby's Burger Palace definitely hits the spot. Saturday night the boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere new to try without having to get all dolled up.  For under $30 we both enjoyed a burger, a side, and a beer. The food was delicious--I had the Classic Burger cooked well done (and it was--without being burnt which is hard to find) and he had the Miami Burger medium which arrived perfectly pink through and through.  We also had a side of onion rings and the sweet potato french fries.  Both were awesome.  The dipping and side sauces were a great addition as were the homemade (?) pickles (which we requested extra of they were so good!) The decor is very Farrah Fawcett meets Philippe Starck.  Other rateclubsers have described it as a "retro bowling alley cafe" which although I do agree is aesthetically somewhat accurate, I should add that it definitely has a clean, contemporary, and bright atmosphere that feels comfortable and modern simultaneously. Our service was top notch and definitely worth raving about.  Our "server" was friendly and polite and definitely worth leaving $5 on the counter for.  We watched as several other patrons left their dirty plates without so much as a dollar.  In my opinion, regardless of the fact that you pay on your way in does not mean that you shouldn't consider the service you receive while you're there (which was great!)

I have to qualify this review up front. This is a review from a non-drinker and non-bar-hopper. I just happened to be there because the team wanted to explore the area near the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. So, as far as I could tell, it was clean, open, with a variety of seating, a decent-sized dance floor and terrible music. It was very popular perhaps because there wasn't much in the way of competition around. It was, as far as nightclubs go, very loud. I would give the Blue Martini a higher rating if it weren't for the terrible music; 3 stars seems about right because everyone appeared to be pretty happy to be there otherwise.

Ghetto. Then again, I'm not into mainstream hip hop...not my scene but if you're into the somewhat "classy ghetto" people who wear fake bebe dresses and cheap heels, then by all means...come and play. The crowd just kept going downhill each minute and by the time some guy in a white suit grabbed my hand and insisted I danced with him (keep in mind, it's not even 11 and you're already drunk), it was time to go. However, the staff was very helpful to send me and my friend to another place more appropriate. The better nights to go to Vessel are industry nights so I was told. Thursday through Saturday are reserved for the hyphy people.
