by Amee Novitsky on This is one of my favorite places downtown. You take the tiny doorway to a set of stairs and happen upon an amazingly tacky open place. It's magical! Bartenders are amazing and super friendly. When they call me sweetheart, it's not creepy! Plus, the drinks they pour are always fantastic and cheap! It was one of the few places my boyfriend went to on his first trip here. He loves it, too. It's just so gosh-darned charming/wacky! We were there last night and had the same thing we had almost a year ago: brisket nachos. "It tastes just like I remember it." Aww. Hahaha.
by Nathan V. on This is another one of those places that I can't get into the energy of the place... usually. Every now and again they will have some real talent come through there playing excellent music or they will have a special event that I am invited to - those are the occasions when I visit this place. But on numerous occasions I found myself floating around the place, not enjoying the music or the people. Also, the $10 a drink for my Ketel 1 Collins is enough to make me take my business elsewhere. The place isn't classy enough for those prices. 3 stars because I actually have had a good time there on a couple of occasions, depending on who I'm with.
by Nikki Morgano on My boyfriend and I decided to try Gloria's based off of a co workers review. The atmosphere is romantic and eclectic at the same time. The noise level is one that should be considered when deciding where to go on your anniversary or romantic outing. Between the music and the other guests, our server had to lean in to hear what we wanted to order. The food, although a bit pricey, was very good as was the salsa and chips. The service? Outstanding! Our water glasses were never empty and we felt very well taken care of. Also, the margarita was stout and well worth $9.00
