The show I worked on had their wrap party at this notorious venue. If I came here on any other night where I didn't know most of the people there, I think it could have easily been an over pretentious scene night club - simply not my scene. However, I'm giving The Box 4 stars because I had a blast at our wrap party. Guess the best word of advice is, if your company can rent out the box for a party, it's worth the fun environment and change of scenery compared to any other bar.

We live in the building above Lucky Strike, so it was inevitable for us to spend an evening there to see what it is all about. The ambiance is great in the lounge- big plush couches, great drinks, great service. Music/DJ was really great- played all my favs all night. Large painting of Hunter S. Thompson is always a good sign too :) What wasn't so great: the cost (we only bowled one game, and still way too expensive), the food (nothing to write home about- stale pita bread with my awful spinach dip, sliders just ok) super awkward set up (when it is your turn to bowl you must literally crawl over your friends due to the fact that the couch is placed way too close to the table) actual bowling (extremely small selection of balls to choose from and the lane was not flat which caused the ball to always curve at the end of the lane) the wait (we were told our wait would be 60 minutes, we waited at least 90 minutes) and having been a manager in a previous life, I was super not psyched to see them turning large groups of people away because of their ridiculously strict dress code. Who turns away that much money nowadays?! It wasn't even like the people didn't look nice, they had the "wrong type of boots" or something goofy. All in all I had a great time, and I will give it one more shot. I just won't order food and will try to bowl on another lane.
