I love the interior of this place, very cool historical architecture and venue, but the service was horrible! Let me explain: I came here with all my girlfriends for my birthday celebration.  I was told that for table service, it was a $50 per head minimum.  That didn't seem like a problem to me because I figured that's about 3 drinks each and we can cover that in spades with my wild and crazy girls. They also told me that if I exceeded 10 at my table, I would have to pay a "space charge", so I figured I would be sneaky and take care of the waitress. We arrived at 930 which was 30 minutes after they take reservations, but I explained that we were coming in a limo, so I had no control over the arrival time and said that it was my bday and blah, blah, blah so could they let that slide...The doorman was very nice and let me and my group in immediately. As soon as we were shown to our table, I pulled my waitress aside and pulled out $60 for her to "turn her head" at anything questionable she saw, meaning extra peeps at the table so that we wouldn't be charged and asked if the girls could pay as they go.  She looked at me and said, "give me $20 more" WHAT?  Bitch for that much you better take care of us! I paid her and thought to myself that were were going to get awesome table service all night.  I also thought that they waitress would make sure I would be taken care of all night.  Meaning, glass would never be empty. Needless to say bitchy waitress had attitude all night and nickled and dimed everything.  I was furious. If it wasn't for my friends, my Jimmy Choo would've been up the waitresses ass. It will take me awhile to want to go back there again after the bad service.

The different aromas of San Francisco always makes me crave oysters. I know, it sounds both unusual and disgusting, but I'm still trying to figure out how to explain the workings of my senses. I don't even think I fully understand it, but I've learned to just go with it. So anyway, oysters. I looked up "all you can eat oysters" on rateclubs, and happily found this place and a "$1 oysters" in the description. Without hesitation, I was out the door. It's a really cozy place, but the ambiance is quite awkward. Their "lounge" area just doesn't seem very loungy at all. The table was really, really small. And circular. A really really small circular table. A really, really small circular table that was really meant to seat 2 but somehow sat 4. I ordered 10 oysters thinking it would be more than enough to fill me up. To my surprise, the oysters were as small as clams. I inhaled all 10 oysters in less than 5 minutes. Not very lady-like, but they were seriously microscopic. They were good, but I couldn't get over how microscopic they were. I mean, I'm over it now... The whole being small thing. But man, I was still hungry by the time I got home (and this place is only 8 blocks from my apartment). The service was great though. Our server was friendly, checked on us constantly, and didn't give us the grunt that servers usually give you when you ask to split a check. I'd say 4 stars is pretty fair. Don't think I'd come back here, but nonetheless... 4 stars.

I was taken here for the first of my two birthday dinners this past week. Gregor G. was very secretive in his selection and simply told me to block a timeframe, "with more details to come." Awwwww, how sweet...I thought he was going to take me to the Nob Hill Theater, but no, it was Biscuits & Blues. And thank God! Because I don't think Nob Hill Theater has biscuits and mojitos and crab cakes...and if they do, who knows what their secret sauce would include! Catch my drift? I actually had a really good time here. Gregor and I were seated promptly (he made reservations,) and had a great view of the stage (there really isn't a bad one.) The menu was typical southern fare, but with a much higher price point (damn Union Square!) Our server, I think here name was Matilda (Gregor?) was friendly but slooooooooooooooooow. The music was loud, just how I like it, and the guitarist/vocalist was pretty damn hot, also how I like it. All in all, a great time and a great place for a bday celebration! Thank you Gregor!!!
