great service, amazing food. couldn't have been happier with our choice and well worth the cab fare from downtown Atlanta.

South City Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants.  I am always SO excited when me and my colleagues get together and eat there.  The service is suberb and the food is the best.  From the bartenders, to the chefs, to the servers and host, the place just makes you want to be "happy".  The buttermilk fried chicken is my favorite(How is it only ONE bone out of the entire meal?...mmm).  They acknowledge me by name when I drop by for the fabulous banana pudding.  Anyone that is interested in this place is in for a treat.  This place is an Atlanta gem.

I enjoyed a pleasant brunch this morning at Front Page News. The outdoor seating area hugely contributed to my satisfaction, as the overcast sky, tinkling fountain and lush plants increased my relaxation. I began my meal by sipping a hot Tazo tea: a basic green variety. My friend wanted a mimosa, but we arrived at 11, so he opted for a water instead. I ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict: two pan-seared crab cakes nestled atop toasted English muffins, stacked with poached eggs and a creamy Creole hollandaise sauce. I appreciated that the poached eggs were firm, as I become nauseated when yolks ooze out of the whites when punctured with a fork. Home-fried potatoes complemented the entree--thin potato slices served with onions and a bit of pepper. I enjoyed the salted starchy goodness but would have preferred a crispier end product. My friend ordered a chicken biscuit entree as well as the Pain Perdu, which I ended up picking at. Because noon was so close, he waited to request a mimosa, and I couldn't resist sampling the French toast, slathering it in syrup. I liked that the bread was topped with chopped pecans. I had a lovely brunch, although overall, it wasn't spectacular. I'd go back, though, especially since the outdoor seating inspires a chill mood.
