The good food can't make up for the lousy music, poor--and overpriced--beer selection, and annoying crowd at night. How they haven't been sued for having the same name as a more popular and nicer chain is beyond me. Typical college bar.

I love a good dive bar, so if yer a princess don't bother...but if you're tired of the Mission but love the gays, the Cinch is perfect for you! (also - kudos to the Disability Drag show - holy cow, so inappropriate and hysterical...)
by miika m. on Dark, introspective and the feeling of 'what's inside' muffling to my cognitive senses. A deep house groove was being spun straight to my right and the bar flanked the wall on the left, oozing with relaxed people, already content with their first or second round of drinks. It amazed me that a slightly small bar had decent seating set up replete with candles: the sort of ambiance not expected in a nondescript place. Crowded with non-pretentious and down to earth locals as well as students, I would find myself drifting here again for the company and the bartenders. The ex, lives right around the corner from the methadone clinic, and can be found at Lush instead. For the ones without a DD, the bus stop is located right out front. Stumble in, stumble out, and have your fare ready.
