This is an awesome weekly event!  It's a really nice alternative to hitting a bar or lounge and it provides more substance for conversation and brain food than a typical night on the town.  It's a really good place for a first date. BUT... It is Yuppie-galore. They have really good mixed drink selections, and bar stations throughout the museum. BUT... The drinks are rather pricey, so you're not going to want to plan on purchasing too many. The music is great.  It provides a hoppin' backdrop to the experience, without being too overbearing.  It's also early in the night (6-10, I believe), so if you've got work the next day it's nice because it's not a sleep-deprivation activity, and/or it's not going to conflict with party-hardy plans since it's so early.  It can be enjoyed by all ages over 21. BUT... I'm expecting to see my parents there next time I go. Good food options! BUT... Expect to be shelling out a pretty penny for a small evening snack.  I would not recommend eating a full dinner there. Clearly the BUTS are outweighed by their respective formers, hence the 4 star review.  I mean, it's only $12, so if you're not doing anything else on a Thursday night, might as well check it out, right?

Suede as a venue isn't too bad. I enjoyed that they had four bars to serve liquor, and two different dance floors. It was a bit crowded, however, but what good club isn't? The people attending the party (promoter: ElementSF) were your typical Asian crowd. You had the "i'm too pretty or hot" for you types of girls walking around, the "creepy i'm out of state" Asian guys, the white guys who love Asian girls, and the "don't approach us, we're dancing in a group" kind of crowd. I was with my boyfriend that night, so luckily I didn't have to turn down any creepy guys. It's a nice venue, but the DJs played the same songs over and over (American Boy by Estelle - FOUR FREAKING TIMES... oh and that annoying song "Damaged") I would probably go back but only if my boyfriend were with me, otherwise it's just another one of those awkward Asian clubs. Drinks were good, by the way.
