by Emmie N. on You gotta walk through a dark/creepy looking alley to get to this place, don't go alone! Get into the club and go "underground", I guess they're trying to make it like you're in a "Vessel" haha. Came here pretty early so it was easy to get drinks at first. As the night went on, more and more people flooded into the place. It was impossible to get the bartender's attention, impossible to get around the club, you really gotta squeeezeeee yourself through. What is annoying is that A LOT of people bump into you without saying sorry, especially the Indian guys! I'm not being racist, just stating what really happened. What an obnoxious crowd.
by German Smallwood on My friends and I came here to celebrate our friends' 18th birthday here on a Friday night. FINALLY, EVERYONE IS 18. The parking next to Avalon is $30. What everyone is saying is true. But it was right next door, so we thought it would be safer to park here (we had 5 girls--no guys). Then we got in line, it actually didn't take that long. The cover was $15 because we had a flyer. There was no coat check while we were here. So boo, we had to hold on to our purses while we were dancing--extremely inconvenient. I don't know if this happens in every club, but all these random guys would come up to us to dance. Oh wait, does grinding count as dancing? A group of guys wouldn't leave one of my friends alone, so she was miserable as she was sandwiched between them. Also, another one of my friends was asked if she wanted to "get together tonight." There are no attractive guys here, just creepy ones. Don't come with a bunch of girls, you need some guys to cockblock. The DJ at Avalon was pretty good. Two stars for that. It got too loud to a point where we ended up screaming in each others ears, and leaving with a buzz in our auditory canals. Also, the people here are very nice, so that gets another star.
