Um, ok, so they were very accommodating to vegans. Big brownie points for that. But, the service was super slow and it was slow in the joint so that didn;t make sense at all.  Everything we ordered came out at different times, drinks not really on time, etc. Our waiter was a sweetheart so I'm not sure who to blame for that. And the food was good but man is it expensive. You are definitely paying for the dishes, silverware, etc as it's cool looking. But dude, I'd pay $15 less for my meal for it to be served on a plain old plate, thank you very much! Kress is definitely past its 15 minutes of scenester fame so it wasn't the least bit hoity toity when we celebrated our friend's dinner last week. It was kind of refreshing and nice. Sooo, if you want to shake your booty, do it here. Dinner however, eat before you go unless you want to take out a loan to pay for it and still leave hungry ; )

This bar has a strange vibe. We went in because it was the closest open bar we could find after catching a movie at the Kabuki. First off it took us 10 minutes to get the bartender's attention, and the place was pretty empty. The crowd was also hard to pin down, all over the place. The music was very lounge-y, bad Las Vegas stuff, hey I guess Monday nights are not going to have the best bands. The music had plenty of reverb, making it so loud we couldn't hear our own voices. We left wondering if we'd just been transported to Long Beach.

I'll start off with the downside. The parking here sucks. It might be a good idea to pay a bum off a couple of bucks if he "parks" you. if not you might find a broken window at the end of the night. So on to the good. I moved back up to the bay area about 6 years ago. I was spoiled by the numerous amounts of clubs in southern california. so I needed my club fix and headed over to the cat club and have been going there ever since. I've seen the clubs come and go from assimilate to rocket. it can get crowded and can tend to be a sausage fest at times but for good music and dancing this is the place. the bartenders here are fabulous. repeat the bartenders here are fabulous. the bathrooms have gotten better. before they did'nt have a stall door and trust me there is nothing more wrong than seeing a tranny taking a dump. I usually head out for gossip. It's only once a month but it's been a good time everytime.
