Incredible experience, succulent food, slow service. You'll have to wait, but oh is it worth it. The chicken piccata was the best I've ever had.

Cool little club I never would have found on my own around the corner from Hollywood Blvd. Not really a nightly fixture in terms of events - seems as though club owners rent out the space to a variety of artists and events. Went here for a Tuesday night of salsa dancing - class and live band. Most people seemed to have showed for the band playing later on - as was apparent since a small group of salsa dancers were stepping away, while the crowd milled about by the bar chatting. Great space - even though a small club, the high ceilings and open air-style made for a cooler (i.e. well-ventilated) yet intimate setting. Felt very much like a hidden gem type of club - not for those wanting the fancy frills and to be dressed to the nines - but a night out to genuinely relax and have fun.

I was so unimpressed with this place ... despite hearing my girlfriends rave about it. I liked the decor and I think someone put a lot of thought into giving it a look and a feel. Someone willing to pay a premium price for just the right art, just the right fixture ... I do appreciate that. I might be willing to give this place a second chance but outlook not so good. First off, the guy at the door was sort of a dick ... is there a cover or isn't there? Don't get all condescending on me if I don't laugh at what wasn't very funny in the first place. Yeah I get it .... Saturday night is crowded and there is a line to get served at a bar. But then I get shoved out of the way of the VIP section - there weren't velvet ropes when I got there, but suddenly I'm in your space? Then you drop shit on my feet and it's my fault? Where do you think you are, the New York subway? Oh right when I did finally order... I ordered a Hefeweizen and got a Sam Adams instead (though I won't dock you points here because it was an honest mistake and you fixed it ...) The DJ has ADD ..... the music wasn't bad, but no song lasted more then 30 seconds and he did consistantly switch it out right before the chorus of every song worth singing / dancing to. My party people and I stood there rolling our eyes and getting increasingly pissed off. Not cool. Maybe it was an evening of bad luck ... that's what I'd like to believe. But it really is disappointing when it's the establishment that ruins a night and not some random drunks.
