Parking is abundant around this joke of a club, maybe because people know better than to come here.  But, if you must spend your night out at Manor West, here are some things you might want to know. The cover was $10 for girls and $20 for guys, and only if you're on the guest list.  Even if you are on the guest list, since these Einsteins don't order the names alphabetically, you might not actually "be on" the list.  I rolled up with 8 lovely ladies and BARELY got in. The interior is pretty classy, until it fills up with people.  Unless you're naked sitting on an ice block, you can count on getting soaked and sticky with sweat.  The bathroom is conveniently located next to the only other door to the outside (for smoking and leaving), and the entire hallway becomes one big cluster f*ck. The DJ played decent beats, from time to time, but jumped genres, making it difficult to get into the music.  The drinks are overpriced, which is probably why getting drinks is relatively easy.  And when the night is over, leave.  The bouncers might shank you for loitering out front too long. I don't recommend ever coming here.  But if you must, bring a towel and a big wallet.  Complain, and you might get 4 drink tickets from the manager, but only be given 3 from the lady who can't count.

I attended Temple last night for a French Tuesdays (FT) event. FT is a closed (to the public) event that is invite only. I have to say I was actually pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Too many 'clubs' in SF that are just ghetto. Temple had a great indoor decor, plenty of bar space and seating (which would probably fetch upwards of $500 for bottle service on any other night). Dance floor was large and packed and the crowd was elegant (suits for the men and cocktail attire for the ladies). Unfortunately, some of the rooms on the main floor as well as the large 'basement' were not open for last nights event. But, I have been here in a week-end and I do like the fact that there are several rooms with diff. music and ambiance. Large dance clubs are not really my style and I doubt I'd come back here again unless there was a good event, but if you are looking for a happening club that's packed you might want to check it out.

I've been going here for 15 years.  All the burgers are excellent, possibly the best in town. But The Saloon excels at awful customer service.  It's stunning.  They're always understaffed in terms of wait staff, often relying on just 2 servers on a packed night.  And when it's not crowded?  They're still terrible - it just gives more time for the idiot waitresses to have lengthy conversations with the bartender, with their backs turned to their customers. Avoid this place on busy nights, whatever you do.
