I'm glad I went there, but once is enough.  It's expensive to get in, the bouncers are rude, and some of the people are sketchy.  The smoke from the outdoors smoking section comes right into the main room and you leave smelling like an ashtray.  But the music is pretty rad; reminds me of a late '90s German Diskothek.  It definitely feels like you are partying in an abandoned building with a bunch of weirdos and, since that is precisely what you're doing, I guess you could say it's exactly what you would expect.  Great place to people watch!

I want to live here and listen to good music all day, but minus the shady neighborhood and pricey drinks. If you do decide to buy alcoholic beverages for yourself: 1) don't drive. 2) bring cash unless you plan on spending $21+ to open/keep a tab. 3) find the Asian chick--she's awesome and makes a good strong drink, even if it's just a Roy Rogers + rum. (EDIT 7/15/08: She's awesomer than awesome. Is that even possible? She was looking out for me when she gave me a bottle of water after my second long island iced tea. Thank you, if you ever read this.) Great shows they've had here: Junior Boys, Digitalism (free!), Trentemoller, Simian Mobile Disco, Michael Mayer, LCD Soundsystem. Cool film screenings every once in a while, too (Heima, Electroma). The atmosphere is fantastic. It's not super clubby (ie, I don't have to go to bebe or wherever to find some overpriced, tacky, ridiculously glittery top. Dark jeans, a tank, and sneakers do just fine for girls). The guys don't seem to be all grope-y either, which is a good thing. You can dance down below or chill upstairs on their comfy couches..unless they close it off. The crowd is pretty eclectic. Good times here.

pretty cool space with a large patio area. the a/c system sucks ass (or lack there of), and some patrons haven't heard of deodorant, so there were some stinky ass people this past friday night.  guys and girls!! the performers were entertaining. drinks were expensive.
