by Jennifer N. on I was here for a private party on Wed and so I didn't get the "normal" feel of this place but from what I could tell, this place was DOPE! Loved the decor and layout but for a huge party, probably not the most space effective venue. There apparently is a downstairs as well but that was not opened for this. The brick wall on the left side of this long venue was gorgeous and really added to an oldtime, upscale feel that this place had. The opposing wall had an amazing wallpaper that added a great beauty. It reminded me of a very dope, upscale city studio, maybe an MTV "Real World" setting. I love cool venues like this!
by Sylvia H. on My boyfriend and I decided to come here when a friend invited us. We got there early and the bouncers were really cool about letting us in for free (unlike some other unmentionable places in the same area). The place is tiny, however it felt very comfortable and the crowd was nice. The decor was fabulous, although I wish the door was actually green. We got away with sitting in the VIP section lounge chairs for quite a while before someone stopped us. The parking is cheap too, since you can park across the street in a huge lot. Nice place to just hang out and have a good time.
by Marcie Gastley on I like this Busby's WAY more than the one in Santa Monica. Maybe it's because after college we went to the Santa Monica one so damn much that I got sick of it and have since boycotted it with my friends, or maybe it's just because this one has a bigger dance floor, more room to move/sit, and great DJ's on Saturdays. Who knows, but I had a really fun time when I went for my friend's bday. Busby's had a good mix of people, the bartenders were attentive and not aholes, and it got crowded, but not packed to the point where you're getting pummeled left and right and losing half your $8 drink in the process, I hate that. Overall really fun place to hang out, sortof reminded me of spring breaks in Mexico actually...
